Permanent, precise, contactless: Laser marking for serial numbers, codes, scales and logos.

Permanent marking with the highest precision: Serial numbers, DataMatrix codes, scales, logos, or technical markings – when information needs to be permanently and precisely applied to a component, laser marking is a versatile solution. MWIB marks a wide variety of components made of metal, plastic, and glass. Various laser technologies, such as Nd:YAG, CO₂, and fiber lasers, are available. This allows the process to be specifically tailored to the material, geometry, and desired marking result. The process is contactless and requires no additional printing inks or marking materials. Depending on the material and laser parameters, high-contrast color changes, annealing marks, engravings, or defined material removals can be achieved. Typical applications include: • Serial numbers and individual component identification • Barcodes, QR and DataMatrix codes • Scales and functional markings • Logos and graphics • Type and product identification. A key advantage is permanent readability. Laser marking can be made resistant to abrasion, chemicals, and environmental influences, making it particularly suitable for industrial applications and component traceability. MWIB handles both individual pieces and small batches as well as series production. Our fiber laser technology also enables short processing times and the marking of hard-to-reach or rotationally symmetrical components. Our laser marking is used in various sectors, including mechanical engineering, medical technology, optics, precision mechanics, electrical engineering, and automotive. Do you need permanent marking for your component? Bring a sample or drawing to FMB – we'll show you which laser technology is right for you.
