Edge finishing
Edge finishing is a collective term for several operations whose purpose is to provide an attractive finish to the edges of metal sheets. Reasons include aesthetics, safety as well as functionality. At 247TailorSteel, you can choose from edge rounding and edge breaking. These are two metal finishing techniques that are very similar, yet each leads to a different end result. All of our production locations have access to two or more edge finishing machines. This enables us to provide your product with the required finishing immediately after laser cutting. Our facilities are equipped with a total of twelve machines from renowned brands such as Lissmac, Timesavers and Q-Fin. Lasercutting
Laser cutting is an incredibly precise and efficient machining technique that allows various types of materials, including metal, to be cut to size. This method of metalworking has many possibilities. At 247TailorSteel, you can order laser-cut aluminum, steel and stainless steel sheets to size in various sizes and thicknesses. 247TailorSteel works with CNC laser cutters. CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control and is a name for computer-controlled machines. CNC machines can be programmed and therefore repeat orders with the same quality every time. This allows you to order both large and small runs, regardless of the material. When you have uploaded your 3D drawing in Sophia, Sophia checks it for manufacturability. When this is in order and you approve the offer, Sophia sends it to the CNC laser cutter. The laser cut order is started and your job is produced.
