We convert your PDF or sketch into a production-ready CAD file in Sophia®. To order parts from Sophia®, you need a suitable CAD file, such as in STEP, DXF, or DWG format. If you only have a PDF or a sketch, placing an order is often not possible. With our CAD conversion service, we make your data orderable – so you can proceed smoothly. What is the CAD conversion service? With our CAD service, we convert your sketch or PDF file into a production-ready CAD file (STEP, DXF, or DWG). The file is imported directly into Sophia®, so you can continue your project immediately. How does the 247TailorSteel CAD service work? You've registered with Sophia® and now want to order your parts. However, you only have a design drawing in PDF format or a sketch. No problem! Here's how it works: Go to "Support" and select "Sales." Select "CAD Conversion Request." Describe your component and upload your file and/or sketches. Submit your request. Our customer service team will review your request and get back to you within one business day with a cost estimate. Simple designs start at €30; more complex designs are charged at an hourly rate. If you approve, we will convert your design into a suitable CAD file within one business day and create it directly as a new project in Sophia®. If you then place an order, we will often cover all or part of the CAD costs.
