MARATHON series

Pallet and workpiece automation for more spindle hours, high productivity and low-manned operation.

The MARATHON series comprises HEDELIUS automation solutions for pallet and workpiece automation of CNC machining centres. It was developed to generate additional spindle hours and keep machines productive during low-staff or unattended periods, for example during late shifts, at night or over the weekend.

Especially for repeat parts and small to medium-sized batches, MARATHON systems enable the structured provision of workpieces and pallets. This helps reduce setup effort and downtime while increasing machine utilisation.

The automation solutions are matched to HEDELIUS machining centres and feature suitable interfaces for models from the ACURA and TILTENTA series. Depending on the application, various pallet storage and hybrid automation solutions are available. The range extends from compact pallet systems to solutions with up to 34 pallet positions and systems for workpieces weighing up to 1,650 kg.

A consistent and intuitive operating concept supports setup, scheduling and order processing. Ergonomics are also a key focus: thanks to the side-mounted automation, the machining centre remains accessible from the front and can still be used for setup work, single-part production or crane loading.

The compact design facilitates integration into existing production environments. Features such as rotating setup stations and pneumatic pallet locking also support convenient and efficient workpiece clamping.
