MARATHON LR810 Heavy-Duty Automation

Heavy-duty automation with 10 pallet positions, up to 2,000 kg transfer weight and full front machine access.

The MARATHON LR810 is a heavy-duty automation solution for the automated machining of large and heavy workpieces. In combination with the TILTENTA 9-2600 MARATHON, the system combines long travel distances with side-mounted automated loading, enabling additional productive spindle hours even outside regular shifts.

The linear storage system provides up to ten pallet positions in the 800 × 800 mm format and is designed for a transfer weight of up to 2,000 kg. Workpieces weighing up to 1,650 kg can be machined automatically. The maximum interference diameter is up to Ø 1,250 × 1,000 mm, with a clamping height of up to 1,200 mm.

A 4-axis loading system with a rotating gripper module handles pallet transfer. Pallet change takes just 130 seconds. A 360° setup station supports convenient workpiece handling, while HEIDENHAIN pallet management with a 15.6-inch touch interface supports the organisation and processing of production orders.

A key advantage of the concept is the combination of automated and manual production. While the LR810 loads the machine from the side, the machine front remains fully accessible. Large, long or complex single parts can therefore still be set up manually, loaded by crane and machined from the front.

This makes the MARATHON LR810 particularly suitable for companies that want to machine large single parts, small batches and repeat orders economically while also making use of unattended or low-staff production periods.
