FORTE series

Precise 3-axis machining of large plates, frames and long parts with high stability and large tool magazines.

The FORTE series stands for economical and precise 3-axis machining of plates, frames, fixtures, and long and heavy workpieces. Its robust moving-column design with a fixed machine table ensures high stability, dynamics, and reliable machining results, regardless of workpiece weight.

The FORTE 7, 9, 10 and 11 long-bed machining centres offer X-axis travel ranges from 2,000 to 6,200 mm and are particularly suited for large and long workpieces. The flexible machine concept also enables multiple clamping, pendulum machining, and the integration of rotary tables and swivel bridges. The more compact FORTE 50, 65 and 85 models are designed for precise and economical machining of smaller workpieces.

All FORTE models are equipped with high-resolution HEIDENHAIN measuring systems as standard, achieving positioning accuracies of less than 6 μm and circular deviations of less than 8 μm.

Large tool magazines with up to 344 tool positions reduce setup and downtime. Loading and unloading tools during machining further supports high productivity, particularly in single-part and small-batch production.

Large door openings, low table heights, and convenient crane loading provide excellent access to the working area. Vertical interior walls ensure controlled chip removal directly into the chip conveyor, while guides and drive components are protected outside the working area.

The FORTE series is suitable for applications in tool and mould making, fixture construction, mechanical and plant engineering, as well as aluminium machining.
