cradle-chain E2.1.CG – the world’s first e-chain made from 100 percent recycled material

Cradle to cradle is the principle of the circular economy, which takes nature as its model. The goal is to return consumer goods to the biological or technical cycle in order to conserve precious resources and raw materials. The motion plastics specialist igus is also pursuing this goal and has developed the world’s first energy chain made of recycled material on the basis of its own e-chain recycling program “Chainge”. igus has put a great deal of effort into product development in order to be able to produce even more resource-efficiently – without sacrificing product quality. Numerous tests in the company’s own test laboratory show that the new e-chain made of the post-consumer material igumid CG has almost the same technical properties and load limits as the energy chain made of the standard material igumid G. With the new e-chain range, igus is making a further contribution to resource conservation and is thus driving the circular economy forward.
