A demonstrator shows the future of training in the automation world

In order to offer learners a tangible experience in dealing with modern automation processes, TH OWL has developed a demonstrator that visitors can try out at the it’s OWL joint booth. The demonstrator presents a typical assembly system for small batch production and consists of a rotating table that enables a variety of assembly steps. The innovative teaching method using the demonstrator combines virtual learning with practical application. The demonstrator was created in the project ‘AI assistant for training in automation’. In the project, TH OWL developed the software architecture and a 3D-based user interface of the training software, which enables an intuitive learning environment and an AI-based evaluation of learning results.
