Laser welding can be used to join materials and structures that cannot be welded using other methods. Among other things, we use laser welding to manufacture gas-tight magnetic capsules made of titanium, which are used as implant components in dentistry. The technology is characterized by a very low heat input into the component, which enables the welding of very sensitive and filigree geometries. The material is melted precisely by means of strongly focused light and very precise weld seams are created. It is possible to join materials that cannot otherwise be welded, such as steel, titanium, copper, nickel, brass and aluminum.
