Compact hardness testing directly on site – with the mobile Computest LITE
The Computest LITE mobile hardness tester is a compact, handy system that enables standard hardness tests analogous to the Rockwell method in any position – completely independent of the component mass.
Mobile and versatile
The Computest LITE is specifically designed for mobile applications: Measurements are taken directly on the component – whether in a horizontal, vertical, or overhead position. The integrated display in the test head provides the hardness result immediately. Thanks to a test force of 5 kp (≈ 49 N), the device is also suitable for thin surface layers or small components and complies with standardized testing procedures such as DIN EN ISO 6508.
The device covers six common hardness scales (e.g., HV, HRC, HB30, HB5, DPTH) – without changing the indenter. Its compact design and robust mechanics mean the Computest LITE is ready for immediate use and easy to operate – even without extensive training.
Applications and highlights
This mobile hardness tester is ideal for use on large and hard-to-reach components, such as those found in steel and plant manufacturing. It enables precise hardness measurements directly on pipes, solid molded parts, or machine components – without any sampling or complex component handling. This allows quality control to be performed directly on the production line, saving time and making production processes more efficient.
Thanks to stable and tilt-proof test supports, measurements on a wide variety of component geometries can be carried out conveniently and reliably. The special pressure sleeve measuring principle also ensures that precise results are achieved even with slight deflection or yielding of the test specimen during measurement. Calibration is performed using certified hardness reference plates, the same type used in stationary testing devices – guaranteeing maximum measurement accuracy and reproducibility of results.
The Computest LITE is ideal for applications in production, maintenance, and quality assurance – wherever mobile and reliable hardness testing is required.
