Automated testing systems - fast, reliable, efficient!
How can increasing testing volumes in industrial quality assurance be managed efficiently without compromising precision and reproducibility? The answer: robot-based automated testing systems.
How can increasing testing volumes be managed efficiently without compromising precision and reproducibility? The answer lies in automation. Robot-assisted testing systems from Hegewald & Peschke handle sample handling and perform material tests precisely according to standards – reliably, reproducibly, and free from subjective influences. This increases machine utilization, reduces personnel costs, and lowers testing costs while maintaining high process reliability. Hegewald & Peschke develops customized solutions for destructive material testing based on universal testing machines and hardness testers. Key components include a universal testing machine, a handling system with an industrial robot, and the LabMaster testing software. This software controls and monitors the entire testing process – from sample identification and measurement through testing to documentation and data transfer to ERP or quality assurance systems. A remote diagnostics system ensures high system availability. Depending on the requirements, semi- or fully automated solutions are possible. Fully automated systems enable unambiguous sample identification, centralized control, and high sample throughput. Semi-automated systems relieve testing personnel of routine tasks and offer flexibility for diverse testing applications. These systems consist of modularly combinable components. Sample feeding, storage systems, robots, and intermediate storage enable continuous feeding. Modules for identification, alignment, and measurement ensure the correct positioning of each sample. Depending on the testing task, additional components such as scales or measuring devices can be integrated. Testing is performed on a custom-configured universal testing machine. After testing, samples can be automatically disposed of, stored for follow-up inspections, or sorted according to ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
