Category Manager - Raw materials (m/w/d)

We are looking for a Category Manager (m/f/d) to join our Strategic Commodities Procurement team on a fixed-term contract, to start as soon as possible.

Your responsibilities:
Developing and implementing a procurement strategy for the assigned material groups
Carrying out supplier management
Conducting supplier negotiations and concluding global agreements
Ensuring an optimal cost structure for purchased materials through supplier and material standardisation
Analysing cost structures and reviewing quotations in terms of total costs in accordance with the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) methodology
Regular reporting and forecasting for the assigned material groups
Conducting market analyses in the international procurement market
Collaborating with technical departments and interface partners
Conducting international negotiations

Your profile:
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or a similar field of study; alternatively, a completed vocational qualification with relevant further training as a Business Administrator (m/f/d) with substantial procurement experience
Knowledge of strategic procurement
Strong negotiation skills, as well as organisational and analytical abilities
Willingness to travel, as well as intercultural skills and an understanding of working with other countries and cultures
Excellent communication skills in German and English
Performance-oriented, results-driven and a team player
Experience in project management
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Good knowledge of SAP (SAP MM)
