Automation Engineer (m/w/d)

To strengthen our team in the Technical Services department, we are looking for an Automation Engineer (m/f/d) to join us as soon as possible.

Your responsibilities:
Analysing and rectifying faults in control systems and technical installations
Planning, developing and implementing automation projects
Optimising existing systems in terms of availability, efficiency and process reliability
Procurement, commissioning and technical support for installations
Drawing up requirements and functional specifications, as well as technical specifications
Maintaining documentation, software versions and backup strategies
Project management and coordination, including liaising with external contractors
Supporting the maintenance team with complex technical issues
Contributing to continuous improvement (CIP) and lean management initiatives
Ensuring compliance with legal and documentation requirements

Your profile:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Engineering, or a state-certified technician (m/f/d) specialising in Electrical Engineering
Experience in industrial automation technology
Basic knowledge of PLC programming (Step 7, TIA Portal)
Expertise in converter and drive technology
Experience with ELCAD and/or EPLAN
IT skills (Windows, Office 365, SAP)
Experience with process visualisation (e.g. Wonderware/AVEVA InTouch) would be an advantage
CAD user skills
Very good written and spoken German and English
Ability to work as part of a team, as well as an analytical, structured and independent approach to work
