Special machine engineering
The development and implementation of special machinery require special skills. Ottemeier combines these skills with pragmatic creativity and flexibility. Utilising our own, from one source, development and design team and our own production facilities enables us to find the optimum technical manufacturing solution for every customer. Our machinery fleet is also well prepared for extreme requirements. Irrespective of whether this relates to extraordinary precision or extreme dimensions, whether machining special materials or particularly complex workpieces - the highest-possible quality is always guaranteed in every project stage. We can already assist our customers starting from the product development stage when requested. Core competences are the automated machining and processing of roll-form profiles and any kind of sheet metal machining. Our range of services also includes punching tables for hydraulically driven tools, special presses, stacking systems, drilling and milling plants, welding systems, robot cells and handling systems.
Tool engineering
Our own tool engineering workshop is an essential part of our range of services. The know-how and experience gained from this segment are also available to our customers as an independent division. We manufacture flexible tools for a wide variety of industries - and innovative special solutions for special applications are also a focal point here: - Pre-punching, after-punching and separating tools for roll-shaped profile machining - Punching tools - Bending tools - Stamping tools - Pressure jointing tools All common drive concepts are available in the tool engineering area: from mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic drive units to servo-hydraulic high-speed punching drive units.
Contract machining
Ottemeier is a much sought-after specialist for the fast and reliable manufacturing of individual parts and small serial products, with contract machining for tools, fixtures and machinery components in the fields of milling and wire EDM. If in-house manufacturing should be out of the question, then we can provider our customers a convincing solution. We mill, measure and erode from the planning stage up to, and including, the finished component. Economical, precise and perfect. The spectrum of milling machines ranges from universal milling machines through to machining centres to 5-axis gantry milling centres with a table load-bearing capacity of 30 tons. For contract EDM, Ottemeier utilises modern CNC wire EDM centres which guarantee high-precision machining of components, also for large-dimensioned workpieces up to a height of 650 mm. With a 3-coordinate measuring machine, large parts up to a weight of 25 tons can be accurately measured and this with a measurement uncertainty of only 5 my+L/300 mm.
