In industrial production, machinery and equipment must do one thing above all else: run. That is why Ottemeier Werkzeug- und Maschinentechnik GmbH has now expanded its service offerings, focusing on areas that are particularly critical for the industry: maintenance, repair, and modernization of existing equipment.
The new service offering focuses on maintenance and upkeep, machine service and repairs, as well as rapid troubleshooting for both the company’s own systems and third-party equipment. This is complemented by fault diagnosis and machine refurbishment.

“The goal is not to wait until a system has already come to a standstill before taking action. Preventive maintenance can help detect wear and tear early on and avoid unplanned downtime,” says Marion Ottemeier-Esken.

Retrofit: Modernization Instead of a New Purchase
Another key focus is the modernization of existing equipment. During a retrofit, machines are technically overhauled, adapted to new requirements, and specifically upgraded with modern components or functions. Targeted modernization measures can serve as an alternative to purchasing new equipment, which involves high investment costs.

However, the expanded service offering is not limited to machines but also extends to tools. Ottemeier is known for its high level of manufacturing expertise in toolmaking and also produces custom tools. With this expertise, the company excels in the repair, optimization, and assembly of tools, as well as in its spare parts service.
