About us

Class.Ing helps companies standardize, structure, and utilize product data for digital business processes. For more than 20 years, we have supported manufacturers, distributors, and industrial companies in implementing and applying established standards such as ECLASS, ETIM, BMEcat, and the Asset Administration Shell.

A key focus is preparing product data for the Digital Product Passport. We develop data models, classify and harmonize existing information, and establish the technical foundations for standardized, cross-system data exchange. Our approach combines specialist consulting with proprietary software solutions for importing, validating, maintaining, converting, and providing product data.

With metaparts, we are developing a platform for standardized and verifiable product data. Companies can provide, enrich, and use digital product information for applications such as the Digital Product Passport, digital twins, electronic catalogs, and automated procurement processes. Virtual reference products also enable companies to adopt standardized data structures even before complete manufacturer data is available.

Class.Ing is a member of the Industrial Digital Twin Association and actively contributes to the further development of the Asset Administration Shell and the Digital Product Passport.

Class.Room

Class.Room is a platform for the intelligent classification, structuring, validation, and provision of product data. It helps companies classify large and heterogeneous product ranges automatically, derive characteristics and values, and check existing assignments for plausibility, completeness, and consistency. This reduces manual effort and systematically improves product data quality. In addition to standards such as ECLASS, Class.Room can also represent company-specific commodity group structures, other classification systems, and technical rule sets. Different ECLASS versions can be managed in parallel, upgraded or downgraded, and linked to other structures and target systems through flexible mapping functions. Product references, article histories, and rule-based validation processes also support traceability and effective data governance. Class.Room also supports the creation of standardized specifications, corporate-design product catalogs, and digital data models for DPP 4.0, the Asset Administration Shell, and battery passports. Through metaparts.eu, companies can use virtual ECLASS template products with prestructured characteristics and values to accelerate new data projects, product ranges, and digital product models.
