How metaparts provides manufacturers with finished product structures

Virtual Products as Digital Twins

A virtual metaparts product is a pre-filled product description with ECLASS classification and the most important attributes. It exists, among other things, as a digital twin in the form of an Asset Administration Shell (AAS), with completed submodels such as Digital Nameplate, Handover Documentation, and Technical Data. This makes the data machine-readable, unambiguous in its meaning, and a basis for the Digital Product Passport (DPP 4.0).
