Virtual ECLASS articles: Standardize product data, generate DPP & AAS – without your own infrastructure

Digital product passport, asset administration shell, carbon footprint, packaging regulation, requirements from OEMs and procurement: companies increasingly have to provide their product data in a structured, machine-readable form. The data usually exists – spread across ERP, PIM, Excel and PDF, but not standardised.

metaparts.eu closes this gap. The portal is not another PIM system but a manufacturer-neutral standardisation and provisioning layer. Existing systems remain in place, and data ownership stays with the company.

It is built on virtual articles based on ECLASS. Each article is described by class, properties and value lists and receives a unique identifier, the MetaParts Data Identifier (MPDI). Customer data is matched against this inventory – reducing effort, making products comparable and closing data gaps.

Standardize: classification, mapping and harmonisation of properties and texts based on the virtual articles.
