Bearing housings with internal cooling – for environments up to 1400 °C

CrMo4, internal cooling channels and a welded stainless-steel cover – made to drawing for continuous operation.

These internally cooled bearing housings made of 42CrMo4 are designed for continuous operation in rolling and cooling lines, where red-hot steel at temperatures of up to 1,400 °C is transported and cooled on rollers.

Internal cooling channels protect the bearings and lubricant from excessive heat. A welded stainless-steel cover seals the cooling circuit—a demanding combination of dissimilar materials. Every cooling circuit is pressure-tested twice before delivery.
