AI Center NRW opens in Bad Oeynhausen

With the new AI Center NRW, MATIK is creating a place where medium-sized companies can experience artificial intelligence in a practical way and develop concrete application possibilities for their own processes.

With the opening of the AI ​​Center NRW in Bad Oeynhausen, MATIK has reached another milestone for the practical application of artificial intelligence in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). At the new location at Klosterstraße 2, companies can experience how AI is already helping to simplify work processes, automate recurring tasks, and relieve employees of day-to-day burdens. The focus is not on AI as an abstract future technology, but on its concrete benefits for businesses. Together with companies, existing processes are analyzed, suitable use cases are identified, and solutions are developed that can be integrated into daily work and existing systems. Planned activities include workshops where companies can learn about AI applications and explore their potential for their own operations. The opening event also emphasized the practical application of AI. Mayor Lars Bökenkröger provided a regional perspective, while other presentations addressed topics such as digitalization, marketing in the age of AI, and humanoid robotics. Björn Gieschen and Henrik Apke from MATIK demonstrated, using concrete examples, how AI can be used in sales and email processing. The strong response from businesses, associations, and politicians demonstrates the growing interest in concrete AI solutions among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). For MATIK, the opening is therefore not an end, but rather the starting point for a location where companies can learn about AI in an understandable way, recognize its potential, and develop concrete projects from it.
