POWER-TEC 2440

Three-phase 960 W, 24 V DC power supply with 96% efficiency and 150% power boost.

The POWER-TEC 2440 is a high-performance switching power supply from Wöhrle Stromversorgungssysteme’s POWER-TEC series, developed specifically for demanding industrial applications where reliability and long service life are essential.

With a rated power of 960 W, an output current of 40 A and an adjustable output voltage of 24 to 28 V DC, the power supply is suitable for automation, control cabinet construction and mechanical engineering. The three-phase AC input supports a voltage range of 320 to 575 V AC. DC input operation is also supported from 450 to 815 V DC continuously and up to 850 V DC for a maximum of ten seconds.

The compact slim-line housing, with a width of only 80 mm, enables space-saving installation in control cabinets. Angled push-in/spring-clamp terminals support fast, tool-free wiring. Typical efficiency is 96%.

For applications with increased power requirements, the unit provides a power boost of 150% for five seconds. An additional thermal power reserve of 110% is available at ambient temperatures up to 45°C, corresponding to up to 1,056 W or 44 A. The rated output power of 960 W is available across the specified operating temperature range of -40 to +60°C with natural convection cooling.

Further features include a DC-OK status indicator with relay contact, parallel operation with load sharing and a battery charging mode. Enhanced AC input overvoltage withstand capability and DC output reverse-voltage immunity support reliable operation with demanding industrial loads.
