Who We Are
Valk Welding is a proud, innovative family business with over 60 years of experience in welding technology. As a leading full-service provider of robot welding systems in Europe, we help the metal fabrication industry produce more efficiently, more flexibly, and more competitively. Our headquarters are located in Alblasserdam, the Netherlands, where we develop, manufacture, and deliver from a large campus of eight buildings. We also operate our own branches in Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Ireland – serving customers well beyond European borders.
With more than 200 employees and approximately 200 robot welding installations delivered per year, we are one of the most experienced and productive suppliers in the market. Many of our team members have been with the company for decades – a clear reflection of our company culture, built on trust, passion, and genuine team spirit.
Our History
The story of Valk Welding begins in the early 1960s – long before robot welding became standard practice in industry. Starting as a small, craft-oriented business, Valk Welding developed step by step into one of Europe's leading system integrators for welding automation.
In 1994, we had just 20 employees working in a single building in Alblasserdam. Structures were lean, communication lines were short, and the work was intense. But it was precisely this combination of improvisation, motivation, and teamwork that laid the foundation for what Valk Welding is today.
By 2006, we were already delivering 90 systems per year – growth that required new buildings, new team members, and new markets. Continued success at home and abroad drove constant expansion: today, we operate seven buildings in Alblasserdam and one in Nieuwegein in the Netherlands alone.
The next major step was internationalisation: by establishing our own branches in key European markets, we ensured that our customers don't just buy a product – they gain a long-term partner with local service, fast response times, and a direct line to headquarters.

Robot Welding Systems
We plan, develop, and deliver tailored robot welding installations for the metal fabrication industry. From simple single-station solutions to complex, fully automated manufacturing cells – we find the right solution for your specific requirements, even at high part variety and small to medium batch sizes.
Software & Programming
A key competitive advantage of Valk Welding is our proprietary software. Our offline programming software DTPS (Downstream Transfer Programming System) allows welding programs to be created and simulated on a computer – without interrupting production. This significantly reduces setup times and makes our systems especially attractive for operations with frequently changing workpieces.
Welding Wire Service Centre
In addition to robot systems, Valk Welding also offers a comprehensive range of welding wires and consumables through its Welding Wire Service Centre. This gives our customers a single, reliable point of contact for all their welding needs.
Robot Welding as a Service (RWaaS)
Our innovative RWaaS model enables even smaller companies to enter welding automation – without major upfront investment. Customers access state-of-the-art robot welding technology through a flexible service model, with our full support included.
Service & Support
Our service team is available Monday to Saturday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM – by phone, remotely, or on-site. Fast response times and expert support are not an option for us – they are the standard.

Valk Welding works exclusively and directly with end users – no intermediaries, no local sales partners. All contracts are concluded directly with the parent company, which has the financial stability and full insurance coverage to carry your project through to successful completion. This direct model has a clear advantage: you always have one competent, accountable point of contact – from the first conversation to the last service visit.
