With the Sander OnRobot extends its portfolio with an intuitive solution for surface processing. With it, users can automate complex grinding and polishing processes even without prior knowledge. Thus, companies relieve their employees of grinding work that is harmful to health. Thanks to its powerful electric drive, the Sander requires no external air compressors, which significantly reduces operating costs compared to conventional sanding solutions. The tool is easy to operate, quickly ready for use and can be combined with the collaborative lightweight robots of all common manufacturers.
Grinding work involves various health risks, from vascular constriction due to the strong tool vibration to lung damage caused by fine dust. OnRobots new Sander relieves workers from such tasks. The supplied 3M sanding discs provide additional protection for workers by absorbing a high proportion of the fine dust produced.

“Our Sander is a versatile sanding tool that offers all the features and benefits of automated sanding technology, but without the effort and costs that are usually associated with it,” explains Enrico Krog Iversen, CEO of OnRobot. “This makes this tool affordable for small and medium-sized companies as well”.

Designed as a lightweight solution, the Sander including pad weighs only 1.2 kg. It is driven by a powerful brushless electric motor (up to 10,000 revolutions per minute). In contrast to pneumatically operated sanding systems, the Sander manages without external air compressors, which are usually expensive and subject to wear. This makes the solution particularly durable. In addition, it reduces the operating costs incurred by pneumatic sanding systems by 95 percent.
